Our fourth year is in the books. With great weather, location and people to work with, we had a SUPER weekend! Jim Mroz, Joyce Santiago, Fred Priano, Linda Foels and the whole Gateway Harbor crew were working better than ever keeping up with the crowd that was estimated to be about 28,000 in attendance. The barbecue vendors were real busy feeding the good folks-we had everyone from little kids to great grandparents eating award winning barbecue from eight great vendors. As we get ready for our 5th year we ask that you mark your calendars for August 10- 12th, 2012 with more great barbecue, music and beverages. Along with several vendors selling pies, corn, BBQ supplies from sauces to grills. This year we need your help putting this event in the International BBQ News. We are always looking for teams for the Saturday Open event held this year on August 11, 2012. REMEMBER- the Grand Champion wins a seat in November 2012 for the "Best of The Best" in Waycross, Georgia where teams compete for $60,000 in Cash and Prizes. Sunday, August 12th, 2012, our backyard event is set up for a shorter cooking event consisting of just Ribs and Chicken. If this is your style, then come show off your skills for cash and trophys and a seat in the backyard event in Waycross, Ga in November. We also let the kids in the show on Sunday, August 12th with our Kids-Q. If baking is more of your forte, we also have an apple pie contest. We will have something for everyone.
