Our fifth year is in the books. With great weather, location and people to work with, we had a SUPER weekend!
Jim Mroz, Joyce Santiago, Fred Priano, Linda Foels and the whole Gateway Harbor crew were working better than ever keeping up with the crowd that was estimated to be about 28,000 in attendance.
The barbecue vendors were real busy feeding the good folks-we had everyone from little kids to great grandparents eating award winning barbecue from eight great vendors.
As we get ready for our 6th year we ask that you mark your calendars for August 09- 11th, 2013 with more great barbecue, music and beverages. Along with several vendors selling pies, corn, BBQ supplies from sauces to grills.
We are always looking for teams for the Saturday Open event held this year on August 10, 2013. This year our Open event will be a Kansas City Barbecue Society sanctioned event and point totals will count towards the Empire State BBQ Championship! Sunday, August 11th, 2013, our backyard event is set up for a shorter cooking event consisting of just Ribs and Chicken. We also let the kids in the show on Sunday, August 11th with our Kids-Q. If baking is more of your forte, we also have an apple pie contest.
We will have something for everyone. Let's make the Tonawanda's the BBQ capital of the North! We are always looking for more sponsors Please help our hometown event with your advertising dollars. Contact us for more info.
